International

The Theatre Collection (TWS) is connected to various academic and cultural partner organizations around the world and has earned an outstanding reputation within the international research community as a research center for theater and media history. The Summer Institute Cologne [sic!] offers international PhD and graduate students the opportunity to work with the collection’s unique holdings.

TWS staff members also regularly serve as exhibition curators and participate as members and speakers in various international societies, such as the International Federation for Theatre Research (IFTR). In 2025, the TWS hosted the IFTR’s annual conference.

You can find our ongoing international collaborations under our current projects.
