As a non-profit organization, the Society of Friends and Sponsors of the Theatre Collection Schloss Wahn (Gesellschaft der Freunde und Förderer der Theaterwissenschaftlichen Sammlung Schloss Wahn e.V.) promotes the scientific development of important holdings in the collection, facilitates the acquisition and restoration of theatrical objects, supports the preservation and completion of the collection by financing exhibitions, catalogs, inventories and other publications, seeks contact with scientists and practitioners in the current theater landscape as well as with people from other media fields such as film and television, and promotes conferences with personalities from science and culture. In addition, the Society of Friends and Sponsors of the TWS supports its members in participating in events, including concerts, exhibition openings, readings and encounters with students of the Institute for Media Culture and Theater.
